Vacuworx Celebrates Team on Manufacturing Day

First held in 2012, Manufacturing Day draws attention to the importance of manufacturing to the economy.

The annual industry celebration is held the first Friday in October, continuing throughout the month and each day of the year as manufacturing supports nearly 19 million jobs in the North America alone. Career opportunities include engineers, designers, machinists, computer programmers and many more.

Vacuworx is proud to be the work “home” of 55 employees at its Tulsa-based manufacturing facility. Whether employees work in the office, in the plant or in the field, they are all an important part of the Vacuworx family. Each individual is dedicated to designing and building the highest quality material-lifting systems available.

Making this happen takes the entire team!

As pointed out by Governor Mary Fallin, there is an ongoing need for skilled labor in Oklahoma, given that the majority of new jobs in state will require career certificates or college degrees. Governor Fallin, with her administration’s launch of Complete College America (CCA) initiative, has formed a partnership between higher education and career technology to increase the number of degrees and certificates awarded to Oklahomans.

The initiative exceeded its first-year goal of increasing the umber degrees and certificates by 1,700, and ended up with more than 2,900 awarded in 2014. More information may be found here.
